Weekly Update 9/3/17

posted Sep 3, 2017, 1:28 PM by Ryan Masciotra

Good evening, Corwin International families.  This is Mrs. Masciotra with your weekly update.

We hope that everyone is enjoying this beautiful weekend.  We have a variety of activities happening this week.

On Monday, September 4th, there is no school.

On Tuesday, September 5th, we will have our general PTO meeting in the library at 6pm.  We encourage all families to come out and get involved.  You can earn one hour of volunteering for each family member that attends.

Thursday, September 7th is picture day for all students.  Should should wear their regular formal uniform and bring order forms with them to order photos.  You can also order electronically.  Information went home with your child last week and is on our Facebook page.

Friday, September 8th is our first student recognition breakfast.  Students from each classroom were selected and will be recognized at a special breakfast before school.  Friday is also our first jeans day of the year.  Students can wear blue or black jeans or jean shorts for $1.  This month, all proceeds will go to the relief efforts for Hurricane Harvey.  The class that brings in the most money will also receive some special recognition.

Friday is also distribution day for our World’s Finest Chocolate sale.  Boxes will be distributed to students at the end of the day.  It is not too late to get your box and join in.  Boxes will be distributed daily from September 8th to September 22nd.  There are a ton of exciting prices and the class that sells the most gets a huge reward too!  Thank you for helping us reach our goal of 400 boxes.

As we enter the beginning of September, we want to also remind families about the parent volunteer requirement of 18 hours.  If you have not already done so, please remember to set up your volunteer account at cims.parentbooker.com. We will begin communicating with families soon regarding accounts and hours recorded.

Good luck to all of the student athletes this week.  Please come out and watch our teams show off their skills!

The text of this message is available on the CIMS website and on the CIMS Facebook page.  Have a great week!
