posted Sep 24, 2017, 8:52 AM by Ryan Masciotra
Good evening, Corwin International families.  This is Mrs. Masciotra with your weekly update.

We’d like to give a shout out to CIMS 8th grade, Madison Tatinski, for being the guest speaker at the FIMS Peace Summit this past week.

Also, last Friday, students participated in a photo survey to give feedback to our design concept for the playground initiative.  Thank you to the families and businesses that have contributed as sponsors.  If you would like to be involved in the planner and/or as a sponsor of our playground initiative, please contact the main office.

On Monday, September 25th, all unsold chocolate and collected money from all students are due.  All items can be brought to the cafeteria beginning at 7:30am.  Once all money and collection envelopes have been tallied, individual prizes and school-wide prizes will be announced.  Thank you for making this a great sale!

Penny Wars!  Starting Monday, September 25th until October 6th we will be hosting the 2nd annual Penny Wars here at Corwin!  This week September 25th through September 29th, pennies will be collect during advisory.  The class who collects the most in each grade will win a prize!  All proceed will go towards furniture and books for the Media Center.

To all parents of 8th grade students, if you would like for your student to take the the official SAT, please contact Mrs. Bratina at 549-7406 or have your student pick up information from her office. Application deadline for the December 2nd test is October 19th.

The Interact Club (formerly known as Key Club) is still collecting pop tabs to deliver to the Ronald McDonald House to help them provide lodging and meals for families who come from remote areas of our state to be near while their loved one is in the hospital at Children's Memorial. Please turn your pop tabs into the media center. Thanks.

Please remember to go to cims.parentbooker.com to set up your account for volunteer opportunities. At CIMS, we do ask parents to complete 18 hours of volunteer time per year per family. Parent Booker is the system we are now using to post volunteer activities as well as track your volunteer hours. Please go in and set up your account this week.

That concludes our announcements.  Have a great week!
