Weekly Update 9/17/17

posted Sep 17, 2017, 10:54 AM by Ryan Masciotra

Good evening, Corwin International families.  This is Mrs. Masciotra with your weekly update.

Wednesday, September 20th is our first Skate Night.  We hope to see you there at 6pm!

On Thursday, we will be celebrating Peace Day by putting pinwheels on our fence that lines Lakeview.  Please feel free to take a pinwheel and pass the message on in our community.

We are half way through our World’s Finest Chocolate sales and we have sold over 300 boxes!  Don’t forget that incentives are given for selling a single box, selling three boxes, selling six boxes and to the class that sells the most!  All boxes and money must be returned by Monday, September 26th.

Half of the spirit shirts were distributed on Friday, but the other half will not be delivered until the week of September 26th.  If your student did not receive their order yet, it will be coming soon.  If you still want to order spirit shirts, please pick up a form in the office.  Orders and payments must be received by Wednesday, September 20th.  No late orders will be accepted.

The School Store is now open!

Starting Monday, September 18th, the school store will be open for all grades every day after school.

We will have snacks that will be purchasable with regular cash to help support the school store and items in the counter that can be purchased with Corwin Cash or Regular Cash.

We hope to see you there!

Parents, this week your student will be bringing home a letter outlining the new Second Step program. Please review it with your student and plan to join the second step organization using the code listed at the bottom. There will be great resources available to you at this location. Thank you for supporting our efforts in improving the climate and culture of our school.

Penny Wars!

Staring Monday, September 25th until October 6th we will be hosting the 2nd annual Penny Wars here at Corwin!  The class who collects the most in each grade will win a prize!  All proceed will go towards furniture and books for the Media Center.

Finally, we are still looking for sponsors for our playground initiative.  More information was sent home with your child on Friday.

That concludes our announcements for the week.  Have a great night.
