Weekly Update 1/14/18

posted Jan 13, 2018, 7:29 PM by Ryan Masciotra
Good evening, Corwin International families.  This is Mrs. Masciotra with the weekly update.

Monday is a holiday and there is no school for staff or students.

On Tuesday, all read-a-thon forms are due.  Students wishing to be eligible for prizes, must turn in a reading log and any sponsor forms they may have received with all collected funds.

On Wednesday, PTO is hosting Skate Night at Skate City.  It begins at 6pm.

Friday is the last day of the first semester and of the 2nd quarter grading period.  As a reminder, there is no school on Monday, the 22nd, as it is a teacher work day.

8th grade parents, a red flyer was sent home with your student this past week.  This flyer provided information about upcoming dates for important aspects of the 8th grade to high school transition.  Please check with your student regarding this information.

Finally, all students in grades 4-7 brought home a yellow letter of intent last week.  This letter is vital for all students and must be returned to the main office.  If you had not yet returned yours, please do so as soon as possible as it a vital part of your child’s continued enrollment for next year.

All parents are invited to attend the No Bully parent workshop scheduled for Tuesday, January 23rd from 6pm until 7pm. At this workshop you will learn how to help your student solve social and emotional problems, learn how to become a bullying prevention coach to your child and find out what social and emotional skills are being taught to your student.   Child care and snacks will be available and each adult that attends will earn one volunteer hour.  Watch for the flyer that will be sent home with your student this week.  We hope you will plan to attend.

This concludes our announcements.  Have a great evening.
