Weekly Update - 2/25/18

Good evening, Corwin International families.  This is Mrs. Masciotra with the weekly update.  We have a variety of activities happening as we celebrate futures week.

On Monday, our 4th graders will be taking part in virtual reality college tours and our 8th graders will be meeting with Pueblo City Schools high school counselors to begin the high school transition process

On Tuesday, our 5th graders will be participating in transition activities and our 6th graders will be attending a field trip to CSUP.

On Wednesday, 8th graders will be attending universities around the region.

On Thursday, 7th graders will be learning about STEM programs and seeing local businesses.

Friday is our monthly jeans day for $1.  Students can also wear a college shirt.

The Scholastic Book Fair is on it's way!  The Onsite Fair will be opening at 7:30 AM, Monday March 5th and will be closing Thursday, March 15th at 3:30 PM. We will be open during conferences.  The Online Fair will be open starting Monday March 5th and will close on Sunday, March 25th.  A percentage of every dollar spent will go to the school and will be used to improve and increase our library's offerings.  We hope to see you there!

The 4th grade drama performance of "Salute to Colorado" is on Monday, March 5th at  6:00 pm in the  East High School auditorium. Students should arrive no earlier than 5:30 but be in the Cafeteria NO Later than 5:45. There is no cost for the play. All 4th grade students have a part and are required to attend. Please come and enjoy the amazing work you students have put into this fun play.

Students should arrive no earlier than 5:30 but be in the Cafeteria NO Later than 5:45. There is no cost for the play. All 5th grade students have a part and are required to attend. Please come and enjoy the amazing work you students have put into this historical play. 

Also, we wanted to let all middle school families know that we are approaching our spring conferences differently this year.  All students will have a scheduled time and attend with parents as they lead their own conference with teacher support.  Spring conferences will take place on Monday, March 12th.  Please take a moment to utilize the links on Facebook, on our website, or in the email version of this message to sign up for a spot that you and your child will attend.  Elementary conferences are on the same day and will be scheduled by individual teachers.
