Good evening, Corwin International families. This is Mrs. Masciotra with the weekly update.

We have a busy week this week.

On Monday, we will have picture re-takes in the morning. On Monday after school, boys basketball plays at Skyview at 4:30pm.

6th grade Drama informances will be held on Tues and Wed at noon both days this week.
Volleyball uniforms need to be turned in this week by Wednesday to Mrs. Hutchins. Fines will be applied on Thursday. The 5th grade Fairytales performance is Wednesday, Nov 6th at 3:00.
On Wednesday evening, we will hold a School Accountability meeting at 5pm and a PTO meeting at 6pm.

On Thursday, we will hold our monthly student of the month breakfast at 7:30am in the media center. Thursday is also our monthly jeans day for $1. All proceeds support student initiatives through the CIMS PTO.

The Corwin International Science Fair is Saturday, November 9th. Students should report at the assigned time in their formal school uniform. All students are required to attend. Students will need to have their Science Fair Board which can be picked up that morning in their science classroom.
  • --6th grade will report between 8:00 and 9:00 am.
  • --7th grade will report between 9:00 and 10:00 am.
  • --8th grade will report between 10:00 and 11:00 am.
We have several other announcements
  • --Due to cold temperatures, students are not permitted to wear shorts or skirts/dresses without tights until after spring break.
  • --The Volleyball end of season party has been moved to Nov 14th at 6pm.
  • --7th and 8th grade Drama students MUST turn in their Field trip forms and payments by Tuesday, Nov. 5th to be eligible to participate.
  • --We are joining with East High School to support Tom + Louie’s Cupboard and the annual food drive through November 14th. Please bring non-perishable items to be donated.
  • --Are you looking for a great gift idea? InterACT Club is selling calendars to raise money for the Nicaragua Well Project. The calendars have amazing photographs of animals and places from all over the world; and the photos were taken by local Rotarians. The cost is only $15, AND- that money is doubled with a grant, so your purchase adds $30 towards making a difference in a global way. To order your calendar, contact any InterACT club member or Mrs. Richards.
  • --CIMS Student Council and InterACT Club would like to invite all staff, families and students to join them for the 21st annual Rake Up Pueblo event on Saturday, November 23. We will rake 4 yards for the elderly and/or disabled persons in our community and we hope you'll join us. For more information, contact Mrs. Richards or Mr. Wermers.

That concludes our announcements. Have a great evening.
