CIMS Weekly Update, 9/15/19

Good evening, Corwin International families.  This is Mrs. Masciotra with the weekly update.

We have quite a few announcements today.  Keep in mind that you can always read the text version of this message in your email, on our Facebook page, and on our website.

On Monday, all read-a-thon reading logs, sponsor forms, and money are due.  Also on Monday, the CIMS spirit store will be open after school and will be selling CIMS water bottles for $5.  JV Volleyball plays at CIMS at 4:30pm, Varsity Volleyball plays at Liberty Point at 4:30pm, and Softball plays at Runyon at 5pm.

On Wednesday, JV Volleyball plays at CIMS at 4:45pm, Varsity Volleyball plays at Vineland at 4:30pm, and Softball plays at Runyon at 5pm.

On Friday, there will be an informational meeting for students interested in the New York City/Broadway trip.  The meeting will be at 5pm in room 113.

On Saturday, Cross Country runs in the Central Invitational at 11:30am and Football plays at Roncalli at 2pm.

In other announcements:

  • We will begin facilitating safety drills this week.  Please note that these are to practice preventative measures and we will always communicate with you through phone message and email if we have to facilitate a safety drill that is not for practice.

  • We are accepting gently used uniforms as donations to our uniform room.  You may count the time to wash, fold and deliver the items to the school as parent volunteer time.

  • Students will begin learning about Safe2Tell through digital citizenship units.  We’d like to remind families that Safe2Tell is an anonymous resource for reporting and we encourage use.

  • InterACT Club is collecting aluminum pull tabs from pop cans, soups, cat food, and so forth; for the Ronald McDonald House. Requests for them went home in the summer packets, and now is the time to start sending them in so that students in InterACT can deliver them to show we care about families with children in the hospital.  Students should bring the pull tabs in baggies and place them in the PINK STORAGE TUBS which are located near the main office. For more information about InterACT Club or to find out how you and your family can participate, contact our club sponsor, Mrs. Richards.

That concludes our announcements.  Have a great evening!
