CIMS Weekly Update, 6/3/19

Good evening, Corwin International families.  This is Mrs. Masciotra with our last weekly update of the school year.  We have a very busy week, so please keep in mind that the text of this message is in email, and is on our website and Facebook page for easy reference.

There will be no before school or after school help this week.  Also, all parent volunteer hours are due on Thursday.  If you did not complete your hours this year, the school will be communicating with you to make a plan for completion during summer hours.

On Monday, eligible 8th graders will be attending the Elitchs field trip.  Also, 6th grade Drama Mon/Wed class will be performing the Non-Superhero's for the MYP students at 10:30. The 6th grade Drama Tues/Thurs class will perform for the PYP at 1:30.  Parents are encouraged and welcome to attend. Concessions will be sold so bring your money and support the Drama Program.

There will be a short meeting for girls who are interested in playing volleyball at Corwin next year in Room 113 at the end of 7th hour on Monday.  Please come to gain information about summer opportunities and get paperwork for next year.

Girls who are interested in playing Softball, there is a short meeting after school on Monday in the auditorium. We will discuss summer clinic and set up Remind to communicate. Please be there.

On Tuesday, 5th graders will visit Skate City in the morning.  Also on Tuesday, all MYP students will participate in field day.  Students should dress in colored shirts established by 1st hour classes and should have hats, tennis shoes, sunscreen, and bring water bottles.  Some activities may result in students getting wet.  On Tuesday afternoon, yearbooks will be distributed.  If your student would still like to purchase one, please send $30 on Tuesday.  Distribution and additional sales will not take place before 1pm.  Finally, on Tuesday evening, we will celebrate the continuation of our 8th graders with a ceremony and a dance at Central High School at 6pm.

On Wednesday, all PYP students will participate in field day.  Students should dress in athletic clothing and should wear hats, tennis shoes, sunscreen, and bring water bottles.  Some activities may result in students getting wet.

Thursday is our last day of school.  We will hold second semester awards assemblies throughout the day.  4th grade awards are at 8:45am.  5th grade awards are at 9:45am.  6th grade awards are at 12:30pm and 7th grade awards are at 1:15pm.  Parents in attendance for awards may sign their students out early at the conclusion of the assembly.

That concludes our announcements.  We’d like to thank all staff and families for a great year and we hope you all have a wonderful summer.
