CIMS Weekly Update, 5/19/19

Good evening, Corwin International families.  This is Mrs. Masciotra with the weekly update.

We are moving into the final stretch and have a very busy few weeks coming up.

This past Thursday, all students returning to CIMS for the 2019-20 school year received a packet with information for next year.  This includes a summer reading contest through scholastic, supplies, summer work and an order form for the summer book that is due this week.

On Monday evening, we will have an additional parent night for new families coming to CIMS next year.

On Tuesday, there is a 7th and 8th grade band and strings concert at 6pm in the auditorium.

On Thursday, all library books are due back for students.

On Friday evening, we will be hosting Bingo Night for our travel club.  Tickets are being sold in advance, so please contact Mrs. Hutchins for more information.  Doors open on Friday at 5:30pm and bingo starts at 7pm.  All proceeds support the CIMS Travel Club.

Over the next 2 weeks our school is helping LLS to cure blood cancers through Pennies for Patients.  Students will have a donation box to collect cash donations to bring to their classroom and we have an online link on our website that you can share with friends and family to help our students make a difference in the fight to cure cancer. Students will be bringing home a flyer and a donation box starting Monday, May 20th and all donations must be turned in by Thursday May 30th.

All track uniforms need to be turned in Monday or fines will be assessed.

Finally, just a reminder to families that next Monday, the 27th, is a holiday and there is no school for staff or students.

That concludes our announcements.  Have a great evening.
