CIMS Weekly Update, 3/31/19

Good evening, Corwin International families.  This is Mrs. Masciotra with the weekly update.

Congratulations to all of the students who took part in the Southern Colorado History day competition at CSUP this weekend. A special kuddos to Hank Gifford, Abby Komoraski, Lilly Miller, and Zach Wermers taking 3rd place in the group performance division and Ellianna Highfill for her first place performance as Molly Brown in the individual performance division.

This week, we begin standardized state testing.  It is important to note that students in all grades will test during the first part of the school day.  Students should be well rested, have breakfast and arrive to school on time in order to avoid make up sessions.  Additionally, cell phones and other smart technology is not permitted during testing.  All cell phones, smart watches, etc. will be collected daily by teachers.  Whenever possible, please leave these items at home.

Just a reminder that the Middle School night for "Anything Goes" is Tuesday, April 2nd at 7:00 p.m. at Centennial. The cast is comprised of students form both South and Centennial. The show is free to middle school students.

Finally, we’d like to remind all families to take the opportunity to attend district community input events this week.  On Monday and Tuesday, there are math curriculum open houses.  OneTuesday and Wednesday, there facilities master planning community forums.  The times and locations for both were included in specific messages from the district this past weekend.  Your input at these in invaluable.

That concludes our announcements.  Have a great evening.
