CIMS Weekly Update, 3/24/19

Good evening, Corwin International families.  This is Mrs. Masciotra with the weekly update.

I hope that everyone had a restful and enjoyable spring break.  As we return for the final quarter of the year, things are kicking into full gear.

This week, the Scholastic Book Fair continues.  All proceeds support our school library.  Also this week, we will hold all spring conferences.  Students will receive 3rd quarter report cards at their conference.  Conferences will take place during the school day, so please plan to come during your student’s dedicated time.

Elementary student conferences are scheduled by classroom teachers.

6th grade conferences are on Tuesday from 3:15-4:15pm.
7th grade conferences are on Wednesday from 3:15-4:15pm.
8th grade conferences are on Thursday from 3:15-4:15pm.

Beginning this week, students can wear shorts as part of the uniform.  Please keep in mind that they must be no shorter than two inches above the knee and use discretion in regards to the weather.  The building temperature often fluctuates as does the weather, so shorts may not always be appropriate.

Finally, a reminder to all families that state testing begins next week and will run for eight days for all grade levels.  We’d like to encourage all students to maintain excellent attendance during this time and we’d also like to remind everyone that devices are not permitted during state testing, so cell phones and smart watches will be collected during this time.  We will send more reminders next week as we begin testing.

That concludes our announcements.  Have a great evening.
