Good evening, Corwin International families.  This is Mrs. Masciotra with the weekly update.

The Scholastic Book Fair is Back!  Our Online Fair will be open for purchases March 11th and will run until March 31st.  Our Onsite Fair will run this week and the week after Spring Break.  All proceeds go towards supporting our School Library.

On Monday, we will hold our monthly student of the month breakfast at 8am.  Monday is also our monthly jeans day.  Students can wear jeans with no holes or tears for $1.  All proceeds will support the CIMS Relay for Life team, the Charlie’s Angels.

Shout out to the 5th graders for their wonderful performance of We The People Wednesday night and congratulations to the FIMS/CIMS Destination Imagination team for placing first in engineering at the regional competition.

This week, 7th grade Monday/Wednesday drama class will present, Box by Lindsay Price on Tuesday at 6pm in the auditorium. Students need to be at the school by 5:30 sharp!

On Wednesday evening, join us for Get Fit Night!  We will be doing Zumba, yoga and challenging staff members with our athletic and fitness abilities.  Healthy activities, booths, and snacks will be available from 5:30 to 7pm.

We still have room on the 2019 Washington DC trip. Please contact Mrs. Hutchins for further information!

Fountain International Magnet School is pleased to offer the nationally acclaimed Camp Invention® program to children entering kindergarten through sixth grade. It’s an exciting, weeklong summer adventure with lessons that explore connections between science, technology, engineering and innovation. Children work together to create solutions to real-world problems and build critical 21st-century skills while rotating through several high-energy, hands-on modules. The week begins on June 10, 2019 with Nicole Soto serving as Director of the ALL-NEW 2019 program, Supercharged! Please see the attached flyer for further details if you are interested.

Finally, as we head into spring break, we’d like to remind families that spring conferences are coming.  Please note the dates and times located on our website, on our Facebook page, and on fliers sent home.  Elementary conferences are scheduled with each teacher and middle school conferences are scheduled for specific days.  Please mark your calendars accordingly.

That concludes our announcements.  Make sure your clocks sprang forward this morning and have a great evening.
