CIMS Weekly Update, 12/15/19

Good evening, Corwin International families. This is Mrs. Masciotra with the weekly update.

Congratulations to 8th grader Lilly Miller for winning the CIMS MYP Spelling Bee.

Congratulations to Liam Almanza and Juan Casso in their superior ratings at the Junior Thescon on Thursday. We also had four groups with Excellent ratings. Great job, cyclones!

On Monday, from 4-5pm, PTO will be available for students and parents to pick up catalog orders from the catalog sale. There will also be open gym for girls basketball and open mat for wrestling Monday-Wednesday this week.

On Tuesday, there is a NAL match at Central at 4:45pm.

The 8th grade drama program will perform “The Little Match Girl” Wednesday at 6pm and again for 8th graders on Thursday during 2nd hour.

On Thursday, eligible 4th graders will be attending a History Colorado field trip in Denver. Students must be in formal uniform and should pack a cold lunch. Thursday is also a free jeans and ugly holiday sweater uniform day for students at CIMS. Please keep in mind that while we encourage festive, out of uniform attire, jeans that have tears, rips, or holes are not permitted. Thank you for helping us maintain appropriate uniform so that we can continue to have these types of uniform days. Finally, we will end the day with a holiday dance for MYP students. The dance will begin during the school day and end at 4:30pm. Tickets are $2 and additional concessions will be available.

After school homework help will only take place on Monday and Tuesday this week and will not run on Wednesday or Thursday. There will also not be Friday school this week. A new round of after school enrichment begins in January and forms are going home with students on Monday.

That concludes our announcements. Have a great evening.
