Greetings Corwin International Families, this is Mrs. Shue, and here is your weekly update!
This week PTO will meet on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the media center. Please plan to attend.
Please support CIMS PTO by joining our Membership Drive. Families can join for $15 and earn one credit towards their volunteer time. CIMS Membership Drive will run through December of 2013. Please help support PTO. Membership forms can be obtained from the website or the office.
Parents are reminded never to drop off from the outer lane in the drop off loop. This is dangerous and we need to set the best possible example for our students. Please remember that we are the example for our students and every child’s safety is worth taking 5 extra minutes to drop off in the correct lane.
If you have received a school messenger regarding your student’s enrollment data this past two weeks and have not come to the CIMS office to take care of the issue please stop in this week and take care of the missing data with Mrs. Matuzak.
The ARC fundraiser drive is coming the weekend of October 25th thru October 27th. Start saving items to donate to our fundraiser. A list of acceptable items will be sent home soon. Volunteer opportunities are also posted on Parent Booker. Help PTO make this fundraiser a huge success!!!
Colorado law requires all students to have immunizations on file and documented in order to attend public school. Parents please not all students who are non compliant with one or more immunization in our system will receive a school messenger this week to bring in your students immunization record so we can update our records. We will update records accordingly and continue until our students are in compliance as required by Colorado law.
Eighth grade students and parents - please plan to attend an ACT information meeting scheduled for Monday, September 30th at 7pm in the auditorium at CIMS. Learn about the exciting plans we have for our 8th grade students to take the ACT in February and speak with a representative from The American College Testing organization about how Corwin International is working together with ACT to create new opportunities for Corwin International 8th graders now and in the future.
There will be a World Travel Club Meeting for all students who are traveling on the 2014 Europe Trip this spring. The meeting will start at 6:00p.m. and last no more than 45 minutes. We will discuss 2 upcoming fundraisers and next steps to travel readiness.
Please continue to collect and send in Box Tops for Education. Parents can help Corwin Students earn a free jeans day by collecting box tops. When we meet our Box Tops Goal, students will earn a free jeans day. We need an average of 20 box tops per student to meet this goal. So please send in your box tops this week and next week. All box tops received to the office by Friday, October 4th will be sent in for the Fall Box Tops Deadline.
