Weekly Update:

Eligibility to Return letters will be mailed home this week.  If you have not received your letter by Thursday, please contact the CIMS office on Friday.  We are asking parents to wait until Friday to call the school to check on your child’s status.  This will help us to manage call volumes.  Please read the information in your child’s letter carefully.  It is the responsibility of each parent to keep a current address on file.

The spring talent and variety show will take place show on Thursday, May 29th.  The talent show will be followed by a pie and ice cream reception and dessert auction sponsored by PTO. We need donations of store bought pies to serve at this event.  Please bring your donated pies to the CIMS office on Thursday, May 29th. If you have a special home made dessert that you would like to donate to be part of our auction, or if you know of a local bakery that would like to donate a dessert please contact Ann Spangler at 250-9862. Remember every $15 in donations is equal to 1 hour volunteer time.

We will be making a last effort to collect both Boxtops and Labels for Education.  If you have any Labels or Boxtops for Education, send them to school with your student in a baggie and have your student give them to their advisory teacher.  Friday, May 23, 2014 will be the last day to turn in Box Tops.

Also, if you grocery shop at King Soopers or Safeway, earning Labels for Education credits points for CIMS is easy to do.  You must have a shopper card and register the card online.  You can electronically collect 1 point for each participating Labels for Education® product you purchase using your shopper card. You can still clip and redeem UPCs to earn their face value of the Labels for Education points; it’s easier than ever to earn more for our school. So, go to to register your shopper card; that’s all you have to do to start earning points for CIMS.

On Wednesday, 5th graders will be doing the IB Exhibition project which is the capstone for the PYP program.   Also, on Wednesday the 8th grade continuum planning meeting will meet on Wednesday at 6p.m. The PPAL Football coaches would like to meet with parents and players at 6:30p.m. on Wednesday night in the school auditorium.

On Thursday there will be a parent coordinator meeting at 6 p.m.  This is a meeting in which the various PTO and school activities for 2014-15 will be explained.   Parents can count 2x hours for attending this meeting toward 2014-15 hours requirements.
