Greatness is all around the CIMS community.  Teachers, students and parents are all making great things happen at CIMS.  Acts of compassion, hard work, diligence and true excellence all deserve to be recognized.  We need to recognize the greatness that is everywhere at Corwin International.  You can help us to recognize the great things students, teachers and parents are doing by visiting our school home page and clicking on the link.  When someone does something truly great, let us know.  The act might end up on our Great Wall of IB located inside the school.  Each week we will recognize Greatness at Corwin International.

On Monday, St. Patrick’s Day, Students may wear a green top and blue or black jeans for $1.

The first $300 in proceeds will be donated to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.  CIMS had a St. Baldrick’s team led by 8th grader Tony Retrum.  Several students from CIMS shaved their heads on Friday night to support this organizations mission to fight childhood cancer.

Parents, please keep in mind that you should have 15 volunteer hours logged in Parent Booker by March 31st. We are happy to say that 100% of parents who came to the Parent Booker support meeting left with working accounts.

Parents don't forget to order your student's yearbook. The deadline is quickly approaching. Visit and use Yearbook ID# 11666114 to order. The cost is currently $25.00.

This week the MYP staff at Corwin IMS will be participating in a Mock IB evaluation in preparation for next year’s visit from IB.  CIMS is doing this mock visit in partnership with East High School.  The feedback from our mock visit will be used to focus our program between now and the actual IB visit.

Attention 7th grade parents:  On Wednesday, March 19, the 7th grade team is have an Incentive hour to reward the 7th graders for their outstanding donations and participation during Pink Out week. This is a one period activity, which will include socializing, board games and “Minute to Win It” like games. Donations of board games and card games are needed in order to make this activity a success. Remember…for every $15.00 donated value, 1 hour of volunteer time can be documented. Be sure to save your receipts!  We will also accept used board games.  Please have your child take the games to his or her advisory teacher.  Also, if any parent would like to help out, please sign up in Parent Booker. Thank you!!

Attention 8th grade parents! It's time to begin planning the 8th grade Continuum and Dance. Any parents interested in helping to plan these events is welcome to attend a planning meeting Thursday, March 20th in the CIMS media center at 6:30 pm.
