Weekly Update:

This month Corwin International will be exploring the international theme of humanitarianism.   This next week we will be continuing our kindness links. These are acts of kindness that students will show, whether its at home or in school. These acts will go onto links that will form chains hung up throughout our hallways.   We will also increase our international awareness of humanitarianism by continuing to learn about 7 great humanitarians.

Reminder: 8th grade students visiting TSJC on Tuesday, December 9 must have their permission forms and fees turned in on Monday to go on the field trip.

Starting on December 15th students will need to pay five cents per page when printing materials in the media center.

The Seventh grade Drama class is performing the Murder Mystery, "No Body To Murder", Wednesday, Dec 10th at 6 pm. Deserts will be served following the production. Tickets are $5.00 and should be pre-ordered through one of the students or the office by Monday December 8th. Students need to be at the school by 5:00 pm.

After school Drama Club will not meet for the next two weeks. Please continue to practice your scripts for "Oliver Twist". See you in January!

Friday will be our 2nd annual Ugliest Holiday Sweater Day!  The cost to participate is $1.  Students should try to wear the ugliest possible holiday sweater.  Jr UN will be recognizing the winner.  In addition, in the spirit of humanitarianism, students are encouraged to complement each other.  The uglier the sweater, the greater the compliments should be!

Super Science Saturday is scheduled for Saturday December 13th from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. Students were given a schedule of arrival times. Please ask your child about the time they are to arrive to present their science fair project. Thank you. CIMS Science Department

We are in serious need of crossing guard support. Cross walks are dependent on parent volunteers and we have been 4 people short on most days. We had several days last week in which no parent volunteers helped with morning crosswalk.

The Box Tops deadline has been extended until January.   Please continue to collect and send in box tops.  PTO will announce the final day soon.

Have a wonderful week!
