We want to welcome everyone back from Intersession. During this break Corwin staff has been preparing for a scheduled review of our MYP IB program. A good deal of progress has been made in preparing required documents to submit to the IB World Organization. A self-study is done for our review in April. The IB evaluation processes takes place every five years and each evaluation verifies the quality of IB implementation in the school. We are looking forward to our April visit and the validation of our program.
The November PTO meeting will be held on Tuesday at 6:30 PM in the media center. We will reflect on our Oktober Fest event, plan upcoming events, and begin to lay the ground work for our annual basketball tournament. In addition the IB coordinator will update the parent community on our IB progress. Please plan to attend.
Thursday there will be registration for after school programming. After school programming will begin on Monday, November 10, 2014. Students will attend from 3:15 to 4:15pm. There will be a number of enrichment activities for students to enjoy after school. Chess club, destination imagination, film making and dramatic arts are this sessions enrichment offerings. Students will need to be registered by a parent in person by their parent between 4pm and 6pm on Thursday in the media center. Students who are required to attend after school programming due to missing assignments will need to be registered in person by their parent or guardian. The fee for a six week session is $35. Students will be able to purchase snacks during after school programming.
