Greetings Corwin International Families,

Here is the weekly update!

8th Grade parents - An informational flyer went home with your student on Thursday. This flyer contains information about ACT Prep Classes. Please be sure to review this information and register early as space in limited. Also ACT test registrations will be accepted until November 22.

We would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who contributed to our food drive. CIMS collected over 1200 food items for this event. We to go Cyclones!

A special thanks to all that participated in Rake Up Pueblo on Saturday. We had an amazing response. Just a reminder to all participants to please log a minimum of two hours along with the time spent at the kick off meeting. Students should log their time on their community service log and parents/guardians should log time in Parent Booker. SRDA will contact PTO when additional t-shirts are available.

Parents and students, we need to let everyone know that our neighbors along the street across from the school have called in about cars blocking the ally ways and drive ways before and after school.  It is important that we model respectful and considerate citizenship by being respectful of those who live close to our campus.  In addition, students who wait across the street after school need to be sure to wait on the sidewalk and never on the areas that are private property.  Parents if you cannot pick your child quickly afterschool it would be best for them to wait on the steps on the school side of Lakeview.  Also, students who are not picked up within 15 minutes of dismissal will be brought to the sheltered entrance on Lakeview.

Finally, we are having a problem with parents signing up for crosswalk duty and then not showing up.  This is especially a problem because other parents have tried to sign up, and then cannot but when they arrive at school no one showed up.  I cannot emphasize enough the degree to which we depend upon parent support for crosswalk duty.  We have had at east two close calls in November.  So, if you cannot make the crosswalk, you need to log back into parent booker and reverse your sign up.  Or if it is a last minute emergency call the office and leave a message.
