Good evening.  This is Sulema James, Principal of Corwin International Magnet School, with your weekly announcements:

1.  Parents, if your student didn't order a yearbook in advance, they may still have an opportunity. Extra yearbooks will be for sale for $30.00 the day of yearbook signing, June 6th. 8th grade students will be given the opportunity to purchase extra yearbooks first, then 7th, 6th, 5th, and 4th.

2.  Additionally, we are in need of parent volunteers for a variety of end of year activities.  Please visit our website and click on the parent volunteer tab to see opportunities.

3.  Attention 8th grade students who are eligible for the trip to Elitch's on June 1st, Tuesday, May 30th, is the last day to submit your permission form and payment of $30.  Turn in your payment and permission form to your Advisory teacher.

4.  Parents and students: students will be participating in various health related activities on Wednesday, May 31st, for World Health Day. They will have the choice to wear Friday casual uniform or their CIMS gym clothes on this day.

5.  Please join us on Thursday, June 1st, as our 5th graders present Exhibition at Corwin International.  The students have been exploring the idea of The Power of One.  By proposing solutions to problems, students will demonstrate how they can make a positive impact on their community.   The classrooms of Mr. Hutchins and Mr. Noble will present from 8:30 to 9:15 AM.  The classrooms of Mrs. Sweckard and Mrs. Galli will present from 9:25 to 10:10 AM.

6.  We will be having a Taffy's Sucker Sale here at the school starting Friday, June 2nd, until the end of the year or we run out!  They will be sold after school at the School Store as well as at both the East and West doors heading out to the buses. Each sucker will cost $1.00. All proceeds will benefit the School Store.

7.  This Friday, June 2nd, is a jeans day to support CIMS student Madison Tatinski and Madison's Mission.  Students can wear blue or black jeans or jean shorts and their own shoes (non-uniform shoes) for $2.
There is no school on Monday, May 29th, in observance of Memorial Day.

This concludes your announcements.  Thank you and have a great week!
